Speaking

Twenty-five years across a steel plant, a trading floor and four technology firms — one way of seeing, tested in every room. Amar B. Singh speaks on how organisations and individuals make decisions when the ground underneath them keeps moving, from the operating floor rather than the lectern.

Has spoken at the IIMs, XLRI, FMS, IIT Delhi and Amity.

Three talks

One per audience.

Boardrooms and leadership teams

The Consciousness Moat — the only advantage AI cannot replicate

Strategy · AI era · Org design

When AI can execute any strategy you can articulate, the moat moves. Where advantage actually lives now, and what it takes to build it on purpose.

Conferences and industry forums

When AI leaves the screen

Physical AI · Robotics · Enterprise

Autonomous machines are moving into factories, warehouses and streets. What changes for a business when software acquires a body — and what leaders consistently underestimate about it.

Campuses and schools

The ladder you're about to climb is being taken apart

Careers · AI literacy · Undergraduate and B-school

Twenty-five years inside the industries these students are entering. An honest account of which first jobs are disappearing, which are quietly becoming more valuable, and what to do in the two years before placement.

Every generation is told the ladder works the way it did for the people who climbed it. This one is being told that while the rungs are being removed.

Amar spent twenty-five years inside heavy industry, banking and global technology services — much of it on the side of the table that decides how many graduates get hired and for what. He argues that the tasks which used to constitute training are the first ones automated, and that this breaks something more important than a hiring number: it breaks the mechanism by which people without advantages get in.

Not doom, and not the usual reassurance. An account of what is actually going and what is actually left.

Amar B. Singh has spent twenty-five years across heavy industry, banking and global technology services — Tata Steel, SBI Capital Markets, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Birlasoft, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra and NTT DATA, where he leads portfolio marketing for emerging AI domains. Much of that time was spent close to the graduate hiring pyramid now being dismantled by AI.

He founded the Noisience Institute, an independent research effort on decision quality and judgement, writes two newsletters read by senior operators across industries, and has written books alongside the career throughout — most recently Sovereignty. MBA, XLRI Jamshedpur; distinguished alumnus of BIT Sindri.
